After purchase, the number is automatically linked to the agent you selected. Inbound calls to this number will be answered by your agent.

Regulatory requirements

Some countries and number types require identity verification before a number can be activated. Common requirements include:
  • Proof of identity — passport, driver’s license, or national ID
  • Proof of address — utility bill, bank statement, or government letter
Numbers with regulatory requirements won’t be active until all required documents are uploaded and approved. See regulatory documents for details.

Netherlands-specific notes

For Dutch numbers:
  • Local numbers — require a specific area code (e.g. 020 for Amsterdam, 010 for Rotterdam)
  • 085 numbers — national numbers that don’t require an area code and work nationwide
  • Regulatory documents are typically not required for 085 numbers
If you don’t need a specific city number, 085 numbers are the easiest and fastest to set up.
