# Quickstart

> Get your first AI voice agent running in under 5 minutes.

## Three steps to your first agent

**1. Create your account**

Go to [AssistPulse](https://assistpulse.lovable.app) and sign up with your email address. You'll receive a verification email — click the link to activate your account.

> [!TIP]
>
> You get a free plan with test minutes so you can try everything before committing.

**2. Create and configure an agent**

1. Click **New agent** in your dashboard.
2. Give it a name (e.g. "Reception assistant").
3. Write instructions telling the agent how to behave — who it represents, what questions it should answer, and when to transfer calls.
4. Choose a voice and adjust speech settings.

> [!NOTE]
>
> See [writing effective instructions](https://docs.assist.fm/agents/instructions) for best practices on crafting your agent's personality and behavior.

**3. Test your agent**

Click the **microphone button** in the bottom-right corner of the agent page to start a test call directly in your browser.

Speak naturally — your agent will respond in real time using the voice and instructions you configured.

> [!TIP]
>
> Test calls use separate test minutes and don't count toward your monthly allowance.
