# Introduction

> Build AI voice agents that answer phone calls, powered by your knowledge base and connected to your systems.

## Welcome to AssistPulse

AssistPulse lets you create intelligent AI voice agents that handle inbound phone calls for your business. No coding required — just describe what your agent should do, upload your knowledge, and connect a phone number.

## How it works

**1. Create an agent**

Give your agent a name, write instructions describing how it should behave, and choose a voice.

**2. Add knowledge**

Upload documents or provide a website URL. AssistPulse automatically processes and chunks the content for real-time retrieval during calls.

**3. Connect a phone number**

Search and purchase a local phone number from our telephony provider. Your agent starts answering calls immediately.

**4. Monitor and improve**

Review call transcripts, read AI-generated summaries, and refine your agent's instructions based on real conversations.
